Code of Conduct
Class time is for learning and we expect all students to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner at all times. Disrespecting a faculty member or another student is NOT TOLERATED.

Parent Responsibilities
Please regularly check your account on studio director. Please come into the studio at least once a week to make sure you stay informed with events. The studio’s communication with parents and students is through our studio information boards in waiting area, email, and text messages with upcoming events, important dates, and deadlines. Please be sure to have a current email address on your account and to check your email account regularly for any information and updates.

Arrival and departure
Students should arrive ready 5-10 minutes prior to start of class. There will be no one to supervise students while they are not in class. APPLAUSE DANCE ACADEMY will not be able to escort any student to and from the parking lot. Student(s) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when arriving and leaving the studio. For the safety of the students, please do not have your child meet you outside.


Class Placement
Our students are placed in class determined according to age, ability, and maturity of the child. The final decision is based on the recommendations of our instructors.

Student Withdrawal
If a student is no longer able take a class for any reason, we must receive a written notification. You will be charged each month until a written notification is received via email to applausedanceacademy@gmail.com. No exceptions will be allowed. The final date to withdraw/drop class is 1/1/2023. After this date, you will be responsible for tuition charges till recital, and all fees associated with recital.

Class Minimum
A minimum of 8 students is required for a class to remain open. If a class does not meet the requirements after 4 weeks, the studio has the right to combine classes and/or cancel any class.

Waiting Areas
The studio has a monitor for each studio/classroom for parents that wish to wait for their child during class.

Monitors are on for classroom viewing till a few weeks before recital.

Please do not enter the classroom. Our staff is very experienced with new and younger dancers. If needed, the teacher will bring your child out to you.

We ask that all parents/guardians and visitors to be respectful and courteous both of our space and the education of our students. Please control siblings’ behavior and keep noise to a minimum. Do not disrupt class time. Our goal is to provide a safe and positive environment for our students and their families.

ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINKS WILL BE PERMITTED IN LOBBY OR HALLWAY. ALL FOOD AND DRINKS are to be in the kitchen area only.

Dance Attire
We ask that all students to please be in proper dance attire and have proper dance shoes. Hair must be tightly secured and out of student’s face. Please no street clothes. Please see our website www.applausedanceacademy.com for the required dress attire for each class type.

Picture Week
Dance pictures will be during the week. Most of these will take place on the day/time of your regular class. Picture dates will be announced later in the year.

Recital Program & Ads
We will send out a packet with program picture spot and ad information costs in November.

Awards
All of our dancers will receive a trophy each year, starting from first year dancers and up! Previous studio dance years will be counted. Trophies will be issued during “Trophy Week” prior to recital. Dates TBA.

Holidays
We follow the St. Tammany Parish school board schedule for all major holidays. Please check email and text messages for any unexpected closure.

Weather
We follow St. Tammany Parish school board, with any weather recommendations to close. Classes will not be made up or reimbursed if canceled due to weather conditions such as hurricanes, flooding, tornado warnings, and sever weather conditions.

Lost and Found
Any items left at the studio will be placed in a closet located in our studio kitchen. ADA is not responsible for any items that are left, lost or stolen at or from the studio. Lost and found items in closet that have not been claimed will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity Center at the end of each month. Please be sure to retrieve forgotten items right away. Label all shoes, clothing items, bags and water bottles.

Privacy Policy
Our studio uses a program called “Studio Director” to obtain contact information and payments for each student. A parent or guardian must fill out the account information. We do not share information collected on our site with third parties and will remove all contact information at parent request. The information collected is used for Applause Dance Academy only.

Applause Dance Academy does take photographs for promotional purposes. We may post pictures on our website, Facebook or Instagram. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Applause Dance Academy at applausedanceacademy@gmail.com.
